BMLN Membership Form
(For New Members ONLY)
Welcome to the Beech Mountain Lady Niners. Membership is open to Beech Mountain Club members* in good standing who have an established USGA handicap. If you do not have a handicap, please speak to a member of the golf staff regarding establishing a handicap for Beech Mountain. Handicap service is included in the dues.
*Applicants for Golf association membership must have a Sports, Single Golf or Full membership level. Social members wanting to upgrade their membership level to allow participation in a golf association should contact Member & Guest Services at 828-387-4208 opt. 1.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be a member of the BMC in good standing and be eligible to play golf as determined by the BMC.
2. New members must submit to the membership chairperson: a completed BMLN registration form and completed scorecards or an official handicap print-out of rounds played elsewhere. If you are unable to post scores to GHIN the golf pro shop will post to GHIN for you.
3. Have a minimum of ten 9-hole scores which will be used to establish a temporary handicap with the intention of acquiring an official handicap based on twenty 18-hole rounds. (Approved by the Board on September 18, 2012) BMLN members are responsible for posting ten 9 hole rounds each year (May-April) to retain your membership in the BMLN. (Approved by the Board in June 2022). While we encourage all members to play and post the ten 9 hole scores each membership year, we realize this is not always possible. If you are not able to post scores, you may request to play in weekly events using a 9 hole handicap of 18 (2 strokes per hole).
4. Pay the BMLN dues.
5. Have a general knowledge of game fundamentals, etiquette, and rules of golf.
6. Observe USGA and BMC rules, proper etiquette, BMLN by-laws, guidelines, and play day rules.
7. Be able to play nine holes of golf, without assistance, within 2 hours and 15 minutes.
8. Be able to drive a golf cart and comply with course signs.
9. Be able to correctly complete and verify a scorecard.
Beech Mountain Club members interested in joining the BMLN should fill out and submit the online application. Your account will be billed following acceptance into the association.
